Empowering Tribal Communities: Bridging the Gap in Pachamalai Hills

Tribal Development

Village Development Centre (VDC) is committed to the welfare and upliftment of tribal communities in the picturesque Pachamalai Hills, which connect Tiruchirappalli and Salem districts. Our efforts have brought about positive change and empowerment for these communities.

Community Engagement

VDC has been actively engaging with the tribal communities through village-level meetings and workshops. These gatherings provide a platform to discuss critical topics such as climate change, a matter of great concern in this region. Additionally, skill training programs have been organized to promote the development of value-added products.

Supporting the Gipsy (Narikuravar) and Irula Tribal Communities

In addition to our work in Pachamalai Hills, VDC has extended its reach to support the Gipsy (Narikuravar) and Irula tribal communities in the Manachanallur, Pullambadi, and Lalgudi block villages. These communities, often marginalized and underserved, have benefited from our dedicated efforts.

Support from VRDP, Salem

The success of our Tribal Development Program is due in part to the generous support of Village Rural Development Program (VRDP), Salem. Their partnership has enabled us to make meaningful progress in addressing the unique challenges faced by these tribal communities.

At VDC, we recognize the importance of creating sustainable pathways to a better future for tribal communities. We remain committed to building bridges of opportunity, empowering these communities, and promoting their overall well-being. Stay connected with us to learn more about our ongoing efforts to create lasting change and empower marginalized communities.
