  • Establishing a residential school for working children to liberate them from the clutches of child labour.

  • Strengthening micro credit programme, rural bank and IGP among women and youth as part of economic empowerment.
  • Enlarging the base and scope of organic farming among small and marginal farmers.
  • Demonstrating a model organic agricultural farm.
  • Having a Community Resource Centre for capacity building and skill training among children, youth, disabled and women.

VDC is involved in realizing the rights under social security schemes for the unorganized workers since 1998.
VDC has been involving in the release and rehabilitation of child and bonded labours in Trichy and Karur districts since 1997.
There are now 150 women SHG with a total 
membership of 2,365. It is spread over 42 villages.
